Samantha Joshua

Samantha Joshua is a partner of WBIncorp and an experienced commercial lawyer with a strong background in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution and transactional work. She spent 10 years at Hogan Lovells and has, over the course of her career, advised domestic and international clients on complex commercial matters, both contentious and transactional, with particular experience in shareholder and contractual issues. Her work is marked by strategic insight, analytical rigor and a clear understanding of the commercial objectives that shape each matter.

A significant part of Samantha’s practice involves corporate restructuring and matters arising from financial distress. She is regularly instructed by business rescue practitioners and other stakeholders in disputes arising during the business rescue process, including the defence of substantial damages claims and the implementation of large scale disposal transactions. She has also represented clients in high value and technically demanding matters before courts and arbitral tribunals, including proceedings before the Supreme Court of Appeal.

Samantha advises on a range of regulatory, compliance and sector specific disputes, including matters arising in the mining industry. She is particularly regarded for her meticulous preparation and her ability to distil complex factual and legal material into clear, persuasive submissions. Her practice reflects the depth, discipline and strategic judgement that define the firm’s approach.
